Develop a Research Question (or Questions) From one culture to the next, body ad

Develop a Research Question (or Questions)
From one culture to the next, body adornment is part of human expressiveness. During the last decade or two, tattooing has becoming increasingly common in many industrialized modern countries. Do you have any curiosity about why that is or how tattoos embody multiple meanings in our culture? Think about some questions you might like to answer in this research.
Examples of research questions include:
Rite of Passage: Are tattoos being used as rites of passage for people? What kind of major life events are being commemorated by tattoos?
Social Stigma: Is stigma affecting the placement of tattoos to make them less visible? Are certain professions still known to be stigmatizing tattoos? What kind of evidence of stigma do people with tattoos still face?
Commemoration: What kinds of tattoos are people getting to commemorate people, events, deaths, etc.? What kind of symbolism is commonly used or is each piece idiosyncratic?
Regret: Who is more likely to regret a tattoo later in life? What is the story behind getting the tattoo that is being regretted? What about the tattoo is now undesirable (Did the meaning change? Did its appearance change? Did a person adopt a different religion? Has a person faced stigma due to the tattoo?)? Are there plans to revise or remove that tattoo?
Conduct Interviews
Interview five people 18 years old or older (if you have tattoos, you may include your own self-interview, but you need to interview 5 additional people) who have tattoos and write an essay discussing your chosen research questions, but also why they chose to have a tattoo, how they decided where to have it placed, what the tattoo symbolizes, how different people react to their tattoo, whether/how it affects their social standing, etc. Are certain kinds of tattoo images particularly popular among your peers at this time? If so, why might that be? Look at (ask about) the symbolism as well as the social aspects of getting and having that tattoo. You will need to submit your interview notes as part of this assignment. Be sure to take good notes of your interviews, including demographic information (age, gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, educational level, profession, etc.) and pictures, if necessary. When interviewing people, ask for their permission to write about the interview in a college paper. If a consultant wishes to remain anonymous, give him or her a pseudonym that is indicated in quotes. For example, “According to “Marsha”, a 45-year-old Caucasian single mother…”
Putting it All Together
Taking your data gathered from your interviews, write an essay exploring your research questions. You will want to present data and quotes from your interview to support your discussions and analysis.
Type your answers into a word processing file, they should be at least 4 full pages (not including raw notes).
Relevant Course Objective: Articulate in writing the complexity of human social organization.
Formatting instructions: All assignments need to follow MLA formatting. This includes the name and title block (See instructions for how to format your first page here (Links to an external site.)). Use MLA in-text citations (Links to an external site.) and Works Cited (Links to an external site.) (if needed). Other formatting instructions about spacing, margins, etc. are in the syllabus.

Let me know what subculture you plan on working with

Let me know what subculture you plan on working with
Post 10 questions you plan on asking the people you are doing your work with.
For example ” What ritual do you have?” or “Do you do anything for luck?” And yes skateboarders may drink the same drink or wear the same socks for luck and yes these are rituals.
This assignment will allow you to practice an anthropological approach, which includes:
1. Participant-observation: try choosing a subculture for which you can attend an event or a ritual and, ideally have the opportunity to participate in it. If this is not possible, interview your informants in a setting related to their subculture or where their events/traditions take place (e.g. workplace, sacred place, studio, university campus, etc.).
Open-ended interviews: in addition to making observations, you need to collect your data by interviewing at least two people who are members of this subculture (face-to-face interviews are the best!). Construct questions that allow your informants to provide you with detailed responses. You must devise in-depth questions that are structured around a topic in the outline. Put a lot of careful thought into this. You might find it necessary to interview your informant more than once to collect enough data with which to write your paper.
2. Cross-cultural comparison, holistic perspective, and applying cultural relativism: you’ll be doing this when you address the section and follow instructions in the outline below.

Why did the article say these changes were occurring?

Americans’ views on marriage have changed through the years. Pew Research surveyed people and noticed changes. Please read the article, though you only need to read the first page of it. (See Links to an external site.https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2021/10/05/rising-share-of-u-s-adults-are-living-without-a-spouse-or-partner/Links to an external site.)
For your post, share three facts about the marriage landscape that caught your attention. Then, explore those ideas further. Why did the article say these changes were occurring? How does that align (or not) with what you’ve observed in your own life? Finally, do you want to get married? Why or why not?
Please make your post at least 200 words. Then, respond to another student’s post to complete the assignment.

Briefly research cultural behaviors that have been reported in a nonhuman animal species (choose one).

Culture has been well demonstrated in chimpanzees, but has also been observed in other primates, as well as nonprimate animals. Find and describe an example of cultural behavior in other nonhuman primates (besides chimpanzees) or nonprimate animals. Briefly research cultural behaviors that have been reported in a nonhuman animal species (choose one). Answer the following questions:
What species did you choose or were you assigned? Is your species a primate? Another mammal? A bird?
What cultural behaviors have been reported in your species?
Why are these behaviors considered cultural?
